Linscombe Organic Vegetables is a small farm which produces a fabulous range of fresh organic vegetables and salads, sold direct to local customers via our online shop and farmers’ markets.
We are now looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person who wants a varied and interesting role to help us keep an efficient office and provide exceptional customer service and satisfaction. There is an additional exciting option of developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote and grow the business.

Administrative Core Duties (approx 16 - 20 hours per week over 5 days per week)
Act as the first point of contact for Linscombe Organic Vegetables, both by telephone and email.
Process weekly customer orders, invoices, picking, packing and delivery lists.
Administer the front and back ends of Linscombe’s online shop
Liaise closely with packhouse and field staff to ensure high customer satisfaction.
Ensure the business complies with current legislation, records are kept up to date and related documents accurately filed.
Prepare cash and cheques for banking, make deposits and liaise with our book-keeper for provision of accounts data and records.
Communicate with and enthuse customers about the benefits and pleasures of preparing and eating Linscombe’s seasonally organically produced vegetables. This could include attendance at Farmers’ Markets and promotional events.
Research and preparation of marketing materials
Development and implementation of further marketing strategies
Excellent oral and written communication skills (in English)
Excellent knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets and computer filing systems
Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
Ability to organise and prioritise an efficient work-flow
High degree of self-motivation and ability to complete projects with limited supervision
A realistic attitude to working in a office within a farming environment.
A genuine interest in healthy eating and an appreciation of cooking using fresh ingredients
Knowledge of desktop publishing
A full, current UK drivers license (essential for marketing role)
Hours: Estimated hours are 16 - 20 for the office administration and customer service role. It is envisaged that the higher end, or slightly more, will be required whilst the successful applicant familiarises themselves with the business. (The current employee in this administrative position will be retaining their role as book-keeper and will be able to provide guidance with regards to the current weekly online shop routines/function and record keeping.)
We are happy to be flexible and discuss hours of attendance that may suit individual applicants, but a daily presence Monday to Friday for customer service is required and on Tuesdays an early start (8 - 8.30 am) will be required to meet order deadlines.
Salary: negotiable dependant upon skills and experience.
